Back in 1973 I had this LP sleeve on my wall. The memorable shot was taken by Ed Caraeff in London, where she was recording the wonderful "No Secrets". After a day of snapping Ed still felt he hadn't taken the best photo possible, so he followed her to her Portobello Hotel on Stanley Gardens, Notting Hill. It was there that he got the fantastic image, unplanned, unscheduled, but just meant to be.
I did some screen printed images for my degree show, but knew I had to paint it one day.
This is a one-off Original piece on Saunders Waterford 300gsm HP paper, using mixed media including Watercolour Paint, Acrylic Paint, Inktense Pencils and occasionally Unison Colour Soft Pastels.
