I love this "fenced in" Keef image. He's boxed in but defiant, railing against this world's insanity in his inimitable way. This landscape position is how it was meant to be, not the portrait view that was originally posted...he's reclining and tired but still facing us off. A very mixed bag of media in this one that I finished on a Friday evening, just as my bar was opening.
The title is from a line on "Dead Flowers" which I played incessantly during the making of this piece. I love the Stones doing country and this one is the one that always gets me.
This is a one-off Original piece on Saunders Waterford 300gsm HP paper, using mixed media including Watercolour Paint, Acrylic Paint, Inktense Pencils and occasionally Unison Colour Soft Pastels.
