Since I returned from Amsterdam I've had the Dutch Renaissance masters swirling in my dreams at night. All of the etchings I saw were tiny, but the blow-ups on the museum walls took on a new life. These drawings are quite big scale for a tiny scratch nib, but they are derived from what I witnessed.
I'm sticking to my usual subject matter, but these appear to come from a bygone century due to the medium. Very appropriate too as they are all at the veteran stage of their careers.
Anyway, here's another one of Willie. Mostly sepia with scratch nib, but added wash of watercolour.
This is a one-off Original piece on Saunders Waterford 300gsm HP paper, using mixed media including Watercolour Paint, Acrylic Paint, Inktense Pencils and occasionally Unison Colour Soft Pastels.
