In the summer of 2022 Paolo Nutini played TRNSMT on Glasgow Green, a week after his new album made No 1. His voice was wonderful and his songs perfection for me. The next day I started this painting. I've inscribed the words of "Iron Sky" on his features. The momentous song also includes Charlie Chaplin's famous speech from "the Great Dictator"...a wonderfully optimistic look into our futures whereby he envisages the passing of greed and dictators. Oh well.
