I'm still finding my way with these wonderful new Northumberland (Unison Handmade) soft pastels. They are beautiful creations and for all artists out there I'd recommend them highly. They are very flexible, can do so many things quickly and the range of colours is to die for. Here I've done young Bob. I reverted to my screen printing days in that I put a layer of pink down covering the whole area I intended to colour, then worked into it. The charm of my life is that I play old favourites to suit what I'm working on....for this I dug out his music from 1963 and 1964. The times, they never stop changin'.
This is a one-off Original piece on Saunders Waterford 300gsm HP paper. I use Unison Colour Soft Pastels and 2B Conte a Paris Pierre Noire.
