I bought "The Last Time"/"Play With Fire" in the late winter of 1965. Churchill had died in January and the Kray twins were arrested on suspicion of running a protection racket. Turns out the B side was recorded late one January night in LA. Keef acoustic guitar, Mick vocals and tambourine, Jack Nitzsche on harpsichord and Phil Spector on bass. It still sounds superb and takes me right back to my bedroom and my Dansette record player.
This is painted for Mick's 78th birthday.
This is a one-off Original piece on Saunders Waterford 300gsm HP paper, using mixed media including Watercolour Paint, Acrylic Paint, Inktense Pencils and occasionally Unison Colour Soft Pastels.
