I’m showing this new painting on what would have been Lou Reed’s 78th birthday. Inscribed on Lou's craggy face is "Hello It's Me" from 1990's wonderful "Songs for Drella." It's from an album that Lou & John Cale made in tribute to Andy Warhol. Drella is a contraction of Draculla & Cinderella, used by the Factory crowd but detested by Warhol. I still miss Lou too.
This is a one-off Original piece on Saunders Waterford 300gsm HP paper, using mixed media including Watercolour Paint, Acrylic Paint, Inktense Pencils and occasionally Unison Colour Soft Pastels.
Framed: 1063 x 868 mm
