The painting’s title comes from a line in a song from Leonard’s final album. I’m sitting in a back yard in a Toronto suburb, 32 degrees with a soft breeze, imagining all these leaves turning and falling by the time I’m home in Scotland. I’ll see him “moving with the leaves, shining with the chrome, almost alive, almost at home”.
