I'm often very slow on the uptake when it comes to musical trends. I liked the hits as they came in the late 70s, but never found my way to Ian Dury's albums. Recently Lockdown has given the chance to catch up with his music and read about this sensitively talented psychotic. Rolling Stone wrote he "looks like a discarded puppet from a Punch and Judy show."
Visually fantastic for well documented reasons, I have to say I'm glad I never encountered him as he seems to have eaten, digested and spat out more people than your average crowd at the Maracana.
This is a one-off Original piece on Saunders Waterford 300gsm HP paper, using mixed media including Watercolour Paint, Acrylic Paint, Inktense Pencils and occasionally Unison Colour Soft Pastels.
