A straight forward observational rendition of the mighty one. It was a trifle too conservative till the final 30 minutes when I recalled the power of coffee on paper (learned at Art School 50 years back). I'd finished my morning cup and looked at dregs, thrust in the big brush in started scumbling and flicking. To my delight I felt it invigorated the painting. Like Bowie says in an inspirational video about life "always go where you are not comfortable," and it is so true.
