Years ago I painted a Dark Side set of 4 for Pink Floyd. It seems a natural jump to paint Dave Gilmour inside that superb prism from the album cover. Designer Storm Thorgerson says it was the band's light show that sparked the idea and the triangle (symbol of thought and ambition) was a useful icon to deploy. I've loved the line at the bottom since first play of the album. It really does encapsulate that characteristic the English exhibit in times of crisis.
This is a one-off Original piece on Saunders Waterford 300gsm HP paper, using mixed media including Watercolour Paint, Acrylic Paint, Inktense Pencils and occasionally Unison Colour Soft Pastels.
